Sapna Hornyak

Biography

    Sapna Hornyak brings more than 15 years of clinical research experience in industry and academic settings to her role as Chiltern’s executive vice president of medical device and diagnostics. Her expertise includes clinical development supporting medical device and diagnostics clients on studies across all classes of medical devices and combination products. She has experience in site and trial management for a broad range of therapeutic indications throughout entire study life cycles. Before joining Chiltern, Hornyak served as vice president of the medical device business unit for Theorem Clinical Research, acting in both operational and business development roles. Hornyak earned a Master of Science degree in biomedical diagnostics from Arizona State University. She also holds a master’s degree in management of information systems and an MBA in management from the University of Pittsburgh. Hornyak is based in Tempe, Arizona.A successful senior leader with almost 30 years of commercial and development experience in large pharmaceutical companies, startup biotech companies and CROs, Roger Hunter is Chiltern’s executive vice president of scientific affairs & strategic development. In this role, he is responsible for providing strategic consultation to clients around their development plans, and for operational oversight of studies by providing critical scientific advice and developing appropriate governance structures to manage strategic relationships.Before joining Chiltern, Hunter was president at D&R Biopharma Consulting LLC. He was also vice president of operations at Cardiokine, where he oversaw clinical development, regulatory affairs, CMC and project management activities for the development of lixivaptan, a vasopressin receptor antagonist in development for hyponatremia and congestive heart failure, and was involved all the way through to the product’s completed and filed NDA. Hunter earned his bachelor’s degree from Aberdeen University in Scotland and a diploma from Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ealing College in London. Hunter is based near King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
