Biography
Cheri Tang, NP received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at SUNY Stony Brook. Upon graduation and licensure, she worked at New York Downtown Hospital (now New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital) on a medical-surgical unit specializing in telemetry and cardiology for five years. After two years of working, Cheri decided to pursue her Adult and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner degree at CUNY Hunter College. She always had a passion for cardiology; in fact, her capstone focused on Heart Failure patients and the improvement of early detection. Cheri also worked in the peripheral catheterization lab with our company for two years prior to joining us as a Nurse Practitioner. She is competent in electrocardiogram, echocardiography, exercise treadmill stress test, nuclear myocardial stress test, and peripheral vascular duplex. Furthermore, Cheri completed her training as a Vein Specialist and performs radiofrequency venous ablation in our ambulatory procedure lab alongside Dr. Chan and Dr. Chen. Cheri Tang, NP is a New York State board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner.
