Biography
Mark Farrell was elected to the CHS Board of Directors in 2016. He is a member of the Board’s Audit and CHS Foundation Finance and Investment committees. He currently serves as a director on the Premier Cooperative board, Mount Horeb, Wis., where he has been a director since 2000. He served as president of the Premier Cooperative board from 2000 to 2004. Before that, he served on the board of directors for Mount Horeb Farmers Co-op from 1992 to 2000. He was the president of that board from 1996 until 2000 when Mount Horeb merged with Patrons’ Mercantile Cooperative to form Premier Cooperative. Farrell is also a director at United Ethanol where he has served since 2006. Farrell graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Ag and Life Sciences short course in 1978. With his brother and son, Farrell operates a corn and soybean farm in Dane County, Wis., along with a hog-finishing operation.
