Biography
Dr. Robert J. Sherertz, M.D. is the Hospital Epidemiologist, Medical Director of Physician Quality Outcomes and Professor of Medicine-Infectious Disease at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Sherertz’s clinical interests include infectious diseases, outbreaks, and health care-associated infections, and his research focus is on pathogenesis and prevention of vascular catheter infections and on mechanisms of transmission of nosocomial infections.
