Biography
Hugh D Spitler currently serve as the Chair of the Clemson University Institutional Review Board. I also serve as a faculty senator. I am the director of the Departmental Honors Program in the Department of Public Health Sciences. I came to Clemson in the fall of 1996 after completing a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention focusing on HIV AIDS prevention.
Research Interest
Hugh D Spitler primary research interests are alcohol abuse among adolescents and young adults, health care access for the poor and underserved, and exploring the social, economic, and political factors that influence population health.
