Biography
Lael Stone, MD, is a Staff Neurologist at the Cleveland Clinic’s Mellen Center. Her specialty interests include multiple sclerosis, specifically the use of MRI to monitor natural history and therapy, and neuroimmunology. Dr. Stone is board certified in neurology and psychiatry. She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She completed her internship in internal medicine and a residency in neurology at Baylor College of Medicine. She was a National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke, Neuroimmunology Fellow, as well as a National Multiple Sclerosis Society Training Fellow. She has spoken at national and international meetings on the topic of multiple sclerosis and has received grants for conducting research on potential new treatments for the disease. She has also published articles in professional peer-reviewed journals. She is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of MS Care, which is sponsored by the CMSC. Dr. Stone is a member of several medical societies, including the American Academy of Neurology and the Consortium of MS Centers. She is a member of and former Chair of the Professional Advisory Council, Buckeye Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
