Biography
" Before Toni became a Registered Nurse she worked for nine years at a local chemical company where she received training as a Fire Brigade and Hazardous Material Response Team member. It is during this time she obtained certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) which began her interest in Emergency Nursing. Toni earned her initial nursing degree from Huron Hospital-School of Nursing prior to starting her career at Euclid Hospital on the Rehabilitation floor where she worked for four years. After this time, she transferred to the Emergency Department at Euclid Hospital where she worked for eight years. She then accepted a position at University Hospitals-Geneva Medical Center where she worked in numerous roles including Administrative Nurse Supervisor/Clinical Coordinator, Magnet(TM) Facilitator, and Clinical Educator. Throughout her time at Geneva Medical Center she taught CPR, critical care courses, annual clinical competencies and conducted 'new hire' orientation for the Human Resources Department. Toni began working at Cleveland State as a part-time adjunct faculty member in the School of Nursing teaching for 2 years before moving into her current full-time role as College Lecturer in 2011. She also works as a school nurse for Perry Local Schools on an as needed basis."
