Biography
"Dr. Margolius is a professor of mathematics. Dr. Margolius's interests include web-based mathematics instruction and queueing theory (the mathematics of standing in line). Dr. Margolius is served as a Faculty Fellow in the President's Office Academic Year 2014-2015. For Academic Year 2015-2016, Dr. Margolius serves as General Education Coordinator in the Provost's Office. Dr. Margolius, Professor of Mathematics, teaches calculus, probability, linear algebra, statistics, discrete mathematics, operations research and is an expert in queueing theory. Her research has been published in Queueing Systems Theory and Its Applications, the Journal of Applied Probability, the Online Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences, Mathematics Magazine, Digital Classroom Resources, Integration, Operations Research Letters, Journal of Integer Sequences, and Annals of Operations Research. She presents nationally and internationally on probability and queueing related topics and in addition, she chairs the Committee on Technology in Mathematics Education for the Mathematical Association of America."
Research Interest
Dr. Margolius research interests include discrete and continuous Markov Chains with time-varying parameters, matrix analytic methods, queueing theory, matching problems of classical probability theory and Euler's gamma.
