Biography

Bernhard Opitz brings 30 years of leadership experience to the management team at Cody Laboratories. Mr. Opitz worked for 20 years with the Bayer group in Germany and Italy in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Development, and in the US as SVP Engineering. He worked for the diagnostics companies Ikonisys and Nanosphere, held the position of VP Engineering/ Operations at Wells' Dairy, and filled the role of SVP Operations for Unilife Medical Solutions. Bernhard Opitz is self-motivated and decisive leader with extensive experience in large matrixed global operations as well as entrepreneurial start-ups. He was known for his ability to drive revenues up, improve market share, and grow profits in highly competitive markets. Key Highlights: 1) Created 32 new products or processes in pharmaceuticals and biotech, APIs, diagnostics, medical devices, food, chemicals, specialty polymers, fibers, and plastic films generating multi-millions of revenue.
 2) Built life sciences operations and product development teams from ground-up in medical device and biotechnology start-ups with FDA-approved products.
