Biography
Erica Blake has been the Supervisor of Cogent Professionals since November 2011. She also functions as an Analytical Chemist in the QC labs. With 15 years of management experience and a passion for chemical sciences, Blake has been able to focus her professional interests on the supervision of a scientific staff. As the supervisor of the company, Blake is committed to motivating, leading, and developing her employees. She values the unique abilities of each of her employees and challenges each to excel in their own way.As a chemist with Cogent, Blake has developed her scientific skills beyond basic HPLC, GC, and various physical properties tests. When in the lab, she runs experiments using mass spectrometry, H1 NMR, OR, HPLC purifications, and flash chromatography. These skills, along with overseeing the 12 different areas within Cogent, have allowed Blake to increase productivity, efficiency, and cross-functionality of employees.
