Biography
Dr. Watson joined the Department as Professor and Head in Fall 2001. Previously, he was Professor and Director of the Engineering Imaging Laboratory at Texas A&M University. Dr. Watson serves as Director of Rocky Mountain Magnetic Resonance, a laboratory specializing in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Dr. Watson develops NMR imaging and analysis methods for determination of properties and structures of heterogeneous media. A key element in this research is system and parameter identification: the determination of mathematical models and associated properties to reliably predict physical phenomena.
