Biography
Dr.Sparrow presently working as Professor of Ophthalmic Science and Pathology and Cell Biology, Columbia University withadverse effects of RPE lipofuscin pigments are attributable, at least in part, to their detergent-like structure, their ability to initiate photooxidative processes and in some cases their tendency to undergo pH dependent protonation/deprotonation.
Research Interest
Retina, retinal pigment epithelium, bisretinoid, lipofuscin, retinal degeneration, maculopathy; fundus autofluorescence
