She has completed her B.Sc from Presidency College, 1986 and Ph.D.from Columbia University in 1993
Research Interest
High-Energy Gamma-Ray Astrophysics; Active Galactic Nuclei, Unidentified gamma-ray sources, Extragalactic gamma-ray background. Galactic sources (pulsar wind nebulae, SNRs). Experimental Astrophysics; Ground-based Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes.
