Biography
Gerald L. Hassell has served as a director since May 2008. He is the Chairman of The Bank of New York Mellon ("BNYM"), and was its Chief Executive Officer from 2011 until July 2017. Mr. Hassell had also been the President of BNYM and its predecessors, The Bank of New York Company, Inc. and The Bank of New York, from 1998 through 2012. Mr. Hassell serves on BNYM’s Board of Directors. He is also a member of the board of trustees of Duke University, a member of the board of visitors of Columbia University Medical Center, a member of the Financial Services Forum, Vice Chairman of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of New York and a member of the boards of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
