Jamie Standen

Biography

James “Jamie” Standen was named chief financial officer in August 2017. In this role, Mr. Standen is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, tax, internal audit, treasury, financial planning and analysis and investor relations. Mr. Standen has been with Compass Minerals since 2006, when he joined the company as assistant treasurer. He has held positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president, finance and treasurer, and interim CFO and treasurer. In addition to his leadership of the Plant Nutrition South America finance function, Mr. Standen has led all capital market transactions, managed all commercial banking relationships, overseen financial risk management and the corporate financial planning and analysis team, executed the financial analysis of merger and acquisition opportunities, and served on the company’s investment committee.  Prior to joining Compass Minerals, Mr. Standen spent six years in various finance roles at Kansas City Southern and spent two years with the public accounting firm Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.Mr. Standen earned a Bachelor’s of Science in accounting with an emphasis in finance from the University of Kansas.
