Biography
Growing up in South Africa, Michael’s parents taught him the importance of respect and integrity. As a business leader, he now draws upon their example of these two key things. He considers his chief objective to be maintaining employee engagement while inspiring his people to achieve more in both professional and personal lives. Michael’s path to CompHealth has been an interesting one. He moved to the United States at the age of 25, arriving in San Francisco with little more than his backpack. After graduating from college with a degree in business administration, he spent time honing his recruiting skills. Michael quickly made a name for himself in the IT staffing industry and then transitioned into healthcare staffing, driven by his passion for healthy living. Attracted by CompHealth’s core value of Putting People First, Michael joined our team in 2009. Two of Michael’s greatest loves are international travel and participating in IRONMAN triathlon competitions. They actually go hand in hand, as he’s competed in North America, Africa, and Australia. All these incredible experiences are leading up to Michael’s ultimate goal: to compete in the IRONMAN world championship in Kona, Hawaii.
