Biography
Dr. Steines has served as our Chief Technology Officer since June 2014. From July 2004 to June 2014, he was our Senior Vice President of Research & Development. Prior to joining us, he served as the Senior Vice President of Research & Development for ImaTx, Inc., one of our wholly-owned subsidiaries, from September 2001 to July 2004, where he was responsible for the development of image analysis applications for the diagnosis of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. Prior to that, he held research positions at Stanford University and The Charité, Universitätsmedizin in Berlin, working in the areas of new imaging techniques to assess osteoarthritis and articular cartilage as well as novel medical video applications. Dr. Steines has an M.S. in computer science from the Technical University Berlin and an M.D. from the Technical University of Aachen.
