Biography
Chuck Reed is the Southeast Region Vice President, reporting directly to President Steve LeClair. In this role since 2014, he has full P&L responsibility for the sales growth, vendor/customer relationships and operational excellence in the states of Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Florida. Chuck has spent his entire career with HD Supply Waterworks and its predecessor organization, Hughes Supply, joining the company in 1973. He started in the warehouse, progressing up through the organization as Branch Manager and District Manager culminating as Regional Vice President Southeast. In 2006, Chuck was named Region Vice President Fire Protection which he held until his current role. Under Chuck’s outstanding leadership, Fire Protection received the Mark of Excellence Award in 2012 which recognizes top regional performance. In 2016, Chuck received the prestigious CEO Award for exceptional performance leading the Southeast Region again to the number one spot. He is a trusted role model who has developed an organizational culture that inspires others to do their best. Chuck embraces talent development and is seen as an industry leader with customers and vendors. He anticipates emerging opportunities and adapts business plans to effectively compete in the region. Chuck is an active member of American Water Works Association, National Utility Contractors Association, National Fire Protection Association and American Fire Sprinkler Association. He volunteers his free time with the Florida Sport Fishing Association where he promotes conservation and the sport.
