Steve Leclair

Biography

 Steve LeClair is President of HD Supply Waterworks and is responsible for leading the nation’s largest distributor of water, sewer, storm and fire protection products. He is a proven business leader with a track record of creating value for shareholders in challenging environments for both private equity-owned and publicly-traded corporations. His diverse background includes manufacturing, sales and marketing and general management. In his role as President since December 2011, Steve leads and directs the $2.6 billion company with over 250 branch locations and 2,900 associates across the U.S. He positioned Waterworks to successfully execute the HDS IPO in June 2013 and a secondary offering in 2014 by streamlining the organization structure and implementing SOX compliance/control mechanisms. He led the acquisition of three new businesses to establish a growth platform for Waterworks. Steve served as President of HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials from April 2007, until its divestiture to ProBuild Holdings in 2008. He joined HD Supply in 2005 as Senior Director of Operations. Before joining HD Supply, Steve was a Senior Vice President at General Electric (GE) Equipment Services. He also held various roles at GE Appliances and Power Generation in distribution, manufacturing and sales. He is a graduate of GE Power Generation’s Manufacturing Management Program. Steve earned an M.B.A. from the University of Louisville and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Union College. He recently joined the board of directors at AAON, a manufacturer of HVAC equipment, and was previously a member of Saint Louis University’s International Business School Advisory Counsel. Steve is a graduate of the brewing science and engineering program at American Brewer’s Guild
