Brian Poteet

Biography

Dr. Brian Poteet, Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist, reads all our CT scans and studies and performs veterinary radiology consultations supporting our team. Dr. Poteet became a vital member of our team in July 2015. Dr. Poteet attended Texas A&M University where he obtained his undergraduate degrees: an M.S. in Veterinary Physiology, followed by a DVM in 1991. He then completed a 3-year residency program in veterinary radiology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He served as the Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas, from 1994 to 2009. He is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Radiology, as well as by the American Board of Science in Nuclear Medicine. He is a visiting professor of radiology at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University and is in adjunct faculty member of the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research in San Antonio, Texas. In addition to scientific publications, he has presented numerous presentations covering various topics including radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and magnetic resonance imaging. His special interests include veterinary nuclear medicine and ultrasound.
