Biography
Dr. Hanson received her DVM from Tufts University in 1989. After an internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston and 2 years in small-animal practice, she returned to Tufts for her radiology residency. She became board certified and joined VDIC in 1995. Additional duties at VDIC included managing the quarterly newsletter and acting as the resident director for VDIC’s second resident, IDEXX’s own Kristy Barksdale-Kunz. She has published several peer-reviewed articles and spoken at local and national meetings. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, white-water rafting, and otherwise enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two teenage daughters. Dr. Hanson and the Telemedicine consulting team offer support for cardiology department, which enables our team to reduce the cost of quality care and diagnostic monitoring of pets with heart disease. We perform EKG's, echocardiograms and Blood pressure monitoring with the expert interpretation, so your pet can receive the benefits of integrative care without the stress of traveling.
