Biography

Jim Powers is the chief executive officer for Crowe Horwath LLP. Over the course of more than 36 years, he has contributed significantly to the firm. Jim has served as managing partner of several local offices; as chair of the Accounting and Auditing Practice Committee; as chair of the Standards, Quality, and Risk Committee; and as managing executive of the audit and financial advisory business unit. Jim served as chair of the Crowe Retirement Investment Committee, as a member of the firm’s Management Committee, and as a member of the Crowe Executive Committee, including serving as chair 2012-2013. Jim has focused his career on delivering financial consulting services to publicly and privately held organizations in a variety of industries, including assisting with: Mergers and acquisitions Private and public securities offerings Strategic planning Business process re-engineering He is a seasoned resource for sales and marketing teams on strategies for cross-border activities related to Crowe Horwath International member firms. Jim previously served as the Crowe Horwath International liaison partner and currently serves as a member of the board of directors. Jim is actively involved in community service organizations including serving as a board member, finance committee chair, and first vice chair of the Indianapolis Zoological Society; elected member and director of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame; and board member of the Crooked Stick Golf Club.
