Byron Cheatham

Biography

Mr. Cheatham has held senior leadership positions in startup technology firms since 1996 and joined CytoViva in 2005, leading the company’s world-wide market development effort. During this time, Mr. Cheatham has worked with hundreds of leading nanotechnology and pathogen research laboratories around the world implementing innovative optical and hyperspectral imaging solutions. Previously, Mr. Cheatham served as chief marketing officer for startup Unity Communications, which experienced revenue growth of over $35mm during its first four years of operations. After Unity, Mr. Cheatham served as vice president of operations at Integrity Online, an internet service and software development company While at Integrity he led the successful transition to from dialup to broadband services, enabling sustained revenue growth and operational profitability for the company. Mr. Cheatham’s prior experience also includes general management, product marketing and national accounts sales executive positions within Fortune 500 corporations. Mr. Cheatham is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he received his BA degree in 1986 and began his career as a biochemistry research assistant.
