Kenneth E. Johns, Jr

Biography

Mr. Johns is an attorney practicing in the Dallas, Texas area. He received a B.S. degree in 1967 and a J. D. degree in 1970 from the University of Memphis. After graduation he served in the U.S.A.F. JAGC until 1974 when he joined the firm of Vinson & Elkins LLP in Houston, Texas, a Texas based multinational partnership. He was a partner in that firm until 1999 when he resigned to pursue other business opportunities. During his association with that firm he was Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is admitted to multiple Federal and State trial and appellate courts and is a public arbitrator for the NASD, the NYSE, and FINRA. He is a Trustee Emeritus of the Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole, MA. He previously served as a director of the Liposome Company prior to its acquisition by Elan. Mr. Johns is also Chairman of DNS's Board of Directors, as well as a director of several private companies.
