Biography
Edward Meyer is currently working as Research Scientist, Earth Sciences Off Campus Program Director, Dartmouth College, USA. His research focuses on using K/Ar geochronology to date illite formation in K-bentonites involved in orogenic belts. The illitization of bentontie beds can be used as a proxy for when uplift is occuring in orogenic belts. This research is focused on thrust belts in the Central and Southern Appalachians and Western Canada.
