Biography
Mr. Ronald E. Smith, also known as Ron, co-founded Deep Down, Inc. (formerly Mediquip Holdings, Inc) in 1997 and has been its Chief Executive Officer and President since December 2006. Mr. Smith served as the Chief Operating Officer of CNX Gas Corporation, a subsidiary of Consol Energy Inc. from June 30, 2005 to March 23, 2007 and Executive Vice President from December 5, 3005 to March 23, 2007. He received a bachelors degree in Mining Engineering from Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University and received the University’s distinguished alumnus award in 1998. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering in 1981.
