Biography
Mr. Durban has been a member of the boards of directors of Dell and Denali since the closing of Dell’s going-private transaction in October 2013. Mr. Durban is a Managing Partner and Managing Director of Silver Lake, a global private equity firm. Mr. Durban joined Silver Lake in 1999 as a founding principal and is based in the firm’s Menlo Park office. He has previously worked in the firm’s New York office, as well as the London office, which he launched and managed from 2005 to 2010. Mr. Durban serves on the boards of directors of Intelsat S.A., Motorola Solutions, Inc., SecureWorks, and William Morris Endeavor Entertainment. Previously, he served on the board of directors and was the chairman of the operating committee of Skype Global S.à r.l., served on the supervisory board and operating committee of NXP B.V., and served on the board of directors of MultiPlan, Inc. Mr. Durban currently serves on the board of directors of Tipping Point, a poverty-fighting organization that identifies and funds leading non-profit programs in the Bay Area to assist individuals and families in need. Prior to joining Silver Lake, Mr. Durban worked in Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division. While at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Durban organized and led a joint initiative between the Corporate Finance Technology Group and the Mergers and Acquisitions Financial Sponsors Group to analyze and present investment opportunities in the technology industry. Previously, Mr. Durban worked in Morgan Stanley’s Corporate Finance Technology and Equity Capital Markets groups.
