Biography
Allyson Adamo, BSN, RN, graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s of Science in Recreational Therapy. She began her career at the University of North Carolina Children’s Hospital helping children and their families cope with new diagnoses and hospitalization. Desiring a more medical approach to patient care, she then pursued a nursing degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005. She has spent the past 11 years as a nurse on the inpatient UNC Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Respiratory Unit. As much as she has loved her work as a pediatric inpatient nurse, she is thrilled to transition into the exciting and evolving field of dermatology, where she will be able to work with adults, adolescents, and children to improve their overall dermatologic health. She is excited to offer state-of-the-art laser technology to help patients achieve their best dermatologic wellbeing and aesthetic. She also loves the idea of working in a small practice where she’ll have the opportunity to develop ongoing relationships with patients and provide quality healthcare.
