Dave Nelson

Biography

 Dave Nelson is the Chief Operating Officer of DermOne.  He has over 25 years’ experience in a series of diverse roles within healthcare products and services markets.  He has held leadership positons in Operations, Strategy, Contracting, and Sales with local, regional and national responsibility. Prior to DermOne, Dave served as the Chief Strategy Officer for ATI Physical Therapy, a national Outpatient Physical Therapy company based in Bolingbrook, IL.  He led sourcing of 20 completed acquisitions in 28 months, successfully expanding ATI’s footprint from 225 clinics to over 600 and from 13 states to 24.  Dave’s additional responsibilities included Facility and DeNovo, Organizational Strategy, Contracts and Pricing, Research and Data Analytics, and Product Management.  Dave was a foundational leader and active contributor to the completion of ATI’s fourth and largest recapitalization with its new Private Equity Partner, Advent International. Previous to ATI, Dave served in multiple roles with escalating responsibility with Coram Specialty Infusion Services.  Over a period of 13 years he served as VP Operations with full P&L responsibility for $300M in annual revenues. Dave graduated from Allegheny College with two bachelor degrees in economics and psychology with a thesis focusing on International Healthcare Systems, and he graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a master’s degree in business administration focused on healthcare administration in one of the country’s first healthcare specific MBA programs including Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine.
