Howard Steinman

Biography

Dr. Steinman is the chief of Mohs surgery and dermatologic surgery at DermOne in Texas and specializes in treating skin cancer. Born and raised in California, Dr. Steinman spent most of his professional career in San Diego, CA, before moving to Temple, TX, in 2009 to serve as the director of Mohs surgery and dermatologic surgery at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center. He moved to the Dallas area in 2012 and joined DermOne in 2013. Dr. Steinman has always combined his passion for patient care with teaching and clinical research. He was honored with a Teacher of the Year Award from the University of California, San Diego; has co-authored two Mohs surgery textbooks and 12 textbook chapters; and has published 32 peer-reviewed journal articles. He codirects an annual course in Mohs surgery and has frequently lectured in the U.S., Europe and Australia.
