Nate Horvath

Biography

 Nate Horvath is the Chief Business Development Officer of DermOne. He has over 20 years of diverse experience in investing, mergers and acquisitions, and finance and accounting across a broad range of industries including healthcare services, manufacturing, retail and consumer products. As a Managing Director of DermOne’s primary investor, Westwind Investors, Nate also serves on the Board of DermOne. At Westwind, Nate is a senior investment professional and in addition to overseeing the firm’s operations, Nate is responsible for sourcing, investing and managing the firm’s direct private equity and real estate investments. Westwind takes an active and involved approach to investing and Nate often serves as the operating partner for Westwind’s companies. Prior to joining Westwind in 2008, Nate was a Vice President with American Capital where he was responsible for making both debt and equity investments in middle-market companies. Previously, Nate was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young where he led due diligence for his clients on dozens of companies in a broad range of industries. Prior to E&Y, Nate worked in corporate finance at a technology firm, where he led the financial analysis and due diligence processes for numerous acquisitions. Nate began his career at Arthur Andersen and is a licensed CPA. Nate received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.S. in Accounting. Nate is also a former Marine and was a security forces team leader during the Persian Gulf War.
