Varaprasad Reddy

Biography

Mr. Varaprasad Reddy has served as a member of our board since 2015. In 1993, Mr. Reddy founded Shantha Biotech to develop and produce recombinant-based vaccines and therapeutic proteins aimed at producing cost-effective drugs and developed first genetically engineered vaccine against Hepatitis-B. Santha Biotech became the world leader in low-cost vaccine delivery to low and middle-income countries. Santha Biotech was acquired by Sanofi. Mr. Reddy is a Padma Bhushan, an award of high honor from the Govt. of India. Mr. Reddy earned an Electronics Engineering degree from Andhra University of India, and an MBA from Osmania University.
