Biography
Vladimir Einisman, M.D. is a general psychiatrist with a post-doctoral fellowship in Geriatric psychiatry and he is a Certified Medical Director of Long Term Care (CMD). Dr. Einisman is also the Medical Director of Serenity Place at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota, which is the area's only voluntary, inpatient behavioral health program. Dr. Einisman began his career in Houston at the Texas Baylor College of Medicine where he did his psychiatric residency. Continuing his career path, Dr. Einisman completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the Texas Research Institute of Mental Sciences. He is a former Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University Pittsburgh Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Dr. Einisman is a past recipient of the Florida Power and Light and Florida Geriatric Society Individual Award Service to Seniors and former Chairman of the Committee on Aging of the Florida Psychiatric Society. Dr. Einisman also has a great passion for psychopharmacology, the effects and side effects of psychotropic medications, and has special certification to provide subopiate treatment. Dr. Einisman arrived in Sarasota several years ago with his wife Linda, who is a former teacher from New Jersey.
