Dr. Hamilton is chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine. He has been on the faculty of the College of Medicine since 1997.

Dr. Richard's research focuses on Aerospace medicine, Acceleration physiology, Emergency medicine, Mathematical modeling of emergency departments, Driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, Forensic toxicology, Alcohol withdrawal, Overdoses, Poisonings.
