Biography
Jason Orne, PhD is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology. He received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He teaches courses related to urban sociology, as well as the department's introductory course. His book "Boystown: Sex and Community in Chicago" was published with University of Chicago Press. Boystown examines the importance of sex to queer male communities and the transformation of gay enclave neighborhoods, “gayborhoods.â€
