Biography
Dr. Jason Silverman is an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education in the School of Education. Dr. Silverman joined Drexel in 2006 and has served as the Director of the Mathematics Learning and Teaching Program (2006-2016) and the Director of the PhD program (2012-2014). He also currently serves as the Director of DragonsTeach, a university wide effort to recruit and prepare undergraduate STEM majors for careers in secondary education and is a co-Director for Drexel’s Center for Research in STEM Teaching and Learning Excellence (CASTLE). In 2015, Dr. Silverman was appointed a Provost’s Administrative Fellow, where he works with the Dean of the Graduate College to develop a program of professional development for graduate students and leads initiatives to recognize high-achieving graduate students and monitor graduate student progress through their academic programs.
