Biography
Dr. Amy Mattila is a graduate of the Duquesne University Occupational Therapy program and is returning to the department as an Assistant Professor. In addition to her MS in Occupational Therapy, she also completed a dual undergrad major in Health Sciences and Psychology at Duquesne. Her PhD in Instructional Management and Leadership is from Robert Morris University, where she focused her dissertation on student's perspective of role emerging behavioral health fieldwork in community based settings. Her area of research interest include Behavioral Health, particularly in military healthcare settings and community based practice; Leadership; Education.
Research Interest
Occupational therapy psychosocial practice, exploring evidence based interventions to promote occupational therapy's role in the behavioral healthcare team.
