Biography

Jamie L. McConaha,is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice in the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy. Dr. McConaha received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne in 2007. Prior to joining the faculty at Duquesne, she completed an academic teaching and research fellowship through the school of pharmacy. During her fellowship, Dr. McConaha completed research projects that focused on the effects of caffeine and choline on short-term memory and recall and the health impact of a worksite pharmacist-directed wellness center on risks for cardiovascular disease. She also gained an interest in cosmeceuticals which led to the development of an elective course, 'Dermatological Therapeutics and Drug Delivery Systems' and her certification and membership as a compounding pharmacist through the Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA).
