Biography
Amanda Halford joined EAG as its first Chief Commercial Officer in 2015 and assumed the responsibilities of Executive Vice President of our Life Sciences division last year. Prior to joining EAG, Amanda spent 15 years at Sigma Aldrich in a variety of roles, most recently as Vice President of the Academic Research business where she was responsible for the global business for the full portfolio of products and services to the Academic, Government and Hospital sectors. Amanda led the strategic review for the business, repositioning into the academic translational research segment and driving market share growth. Amanda also led Sigma-Aldrich’s business development and scientific collaborations within these sectors. During her 15 year tenure at Sigma Aldrich, Amanda held positions of increasing responsibility in Marketing, Process Improvement, Corporate Strategy and Development and eBusiness. Amanda’s titles included Vice President of eBusiness, Vice President of the Chemistry and Materials Science business and Director of Marketing for SAFC As VP, eBusiness, managing the global online channel for Sigma Aldrich with a focus on customer insight, user experience, business analytics and digital marketing there was a significant increase in new customers to the site, increased customer loyalty on the site and significantly increased revenue through the channel. While Director of Marketing for SAFC, she created the marketing, brand and communications strategy for the SAFC custom manufacturing business. This resulted in the successful creation and global launch of the SAFC brand and which became the foundation for significant growth for the business. Prior to joining Sigma-Aldrich, Amanda held key marketing and sales positions with Elf Atochem, France, Nalco France and U.K.-based ICI. Amanda earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Imperial College, London, and earned an Executive MBA from EM Lyon. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. Amanda is fluent in French and English and has lived and traveled extensively outside of the U.S.
