Biography
Dr. Samii has over 30 years of experience in IT management, systems engineering, analysis, operations, and scientific and engineering research and development. She successfully led several large federal and commercial programs and contracts; including a multi-billion dollar federal modernization program, full-scope commercial outsourcing contracts, and large science and engineering programs. Prior to joining ERT, Dr. Samii served as Vice President and General Manager for Science, Engineering, and Technology Solutions in the Civil Group of CSC, where she led a team of more than 2,000 staff providing science, engineering, and technology solutions and support for many U.S. federal civilian agencies. Dr. Samii holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the State University of New York at Albany, and completed post-doctoral research at the Johns Hopkins University. She has published over 20 professional papers and received numerous awards including the prestigious NASA Human Space Flight Awareness Award and the 2010 Leadership Award from Women in Aerospace. Dr. Samii serves on the Board of Directors of Women in Aerospace, and previously served on the Board of Directors of both the Council for Electronic Return Advancement and the Department of Energy’s Jefferson Laboratory.
