Biography
Ron Isaacs brings to ERT more than 40 years of experience as a both research scientist and company president and CEO. Ron’s has made scientific contributions in the areas of radiative transfer, satellite remote sensing, numerical weather prediction, and air quality. With a strategy based on scientific excellence and its transition to practical applications, Ron was key in growing Atmospheric and Environmental Research, Inc. (AER) from a PI-focused research firm to an award winning, integrated corporation broadly servicing government and industry. He led corporate growth and sustainment activities, and executive oversight of day-to-day operations, strategic planning, marketing, program management, contract negotiation, cost and schedule control, teaming, recruiting, human resources, and technical oversight of major customer programs. At ERT, Ron will be responsible for enhancing basic and applied scientific research capabilities, thus adding value to the corporation’s scientific reputational discriminator and the ability of ERT to serve its customers as a trusted partner to the government marketplace. Ron holds both a Master’s of Engineering and a Master’s of Science degree from Harvard University, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the Stevens Institute of Technology. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society, a Senior Member of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, and the Tau Beta Pi Association. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as a Space Systems Operations officer.
