Biography

Fraya Wagner-Marsh is a full professor and the Department Head of the Management Department of the College of Business at Eastern Michigan University. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Human Resources Management, is Director of the Master of Science in HR/OD program at EMU, and is the chapter advisor for the national award winning EMU student chapter of SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management). Fraya is on the Board of  the Greater Ann Arbor Society for Human Resource Management Association, is the Past-President and Advisory Board Member of the Detroit Chapter of SHRM, is the former HRCI (Human Resources Certification Institute) State Coordinator for Michigan, and is the past Treasurer and State Director for the Michigan Council of SHRM. Dr. Wagner-Marsh received her doctorate in Management from the University of Memphis in 1981. Her current research interests include strategic human resources, team interviewing, compensation, business ethics and spirituality in the workplace. She has had numerous research articles published in various conference proceedings and articles published in the Journal of Organizational Change Management, Journal of Management Systems, Journal of Teaching in International Business, Mobility, and the Journal of Business and Economic Perspectives. Fraya is the program coordinator and facilitator for the non-credit professional development SHRM certification and re-certification courses offered through EMU Extended Programs and has taught courses in the Strategic HR Management Series. Fraya also does management and HR consulting and training for various corporations including General Motors, City of Detroit, and Masco Corporation.

Research Interest

Dr. Wagner-Marsh teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in human resource management and organizational behavior.
