Biography
Dr. Dheer holds a PhD degree in Management with emphasis on Entrepreneurship, an MBA with emphasis on Supply Chain Management and Information Systems Management and an MS in Biotechnology. Dr. Dheer’s research has appeared in peer-reviewed and high impact journal, such as Journal of International Business Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Small Business Economics, International Journal of Cross-cultural Management. Dr. Dheer has received several awards for his scholarly work from leading academic institutions, including the Best Paper Award from Academy of Management’s Entrepreneurship Division (2014) and Outstanding Researcher Award (2016) from Eastern Michigan University’s Department of Management. Dr. Dheer also received the Best Reviewer Award from Southern Management Association. Dr. Dheer is a passionate educator who aims to help students understand the issues that established and new businesses face and identify resolution to these.
Research Interest
Dr. Dheer’s research focuses on topics in Entrepreneurship, Cross-cultural research and Strategy. Dr. Dheer is particularly interested in research on multicultural individuals, in analyzing how they contribute to the creation of new firms, to established organizations and to societies. He is also interested in research about Entrepreneurial Cognitions and Minority Entrepreneurship.
