Biography
Alexander Y. Yap is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at Elon University, North Carolina. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Information Systems from the Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) funded on a full scholarship courtesy of the Danish government, an MBA in International Management from Exeter University (UK) funded on a full scholarship by the British Council, and a Masters in Development Economics from Williams College (USA) funded on a full scholarship by the US government. He won the prestigious ‘International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) Best Paper Award’ in Helsinki, Finland. His research papers have been published in the Journal of Global Information Management, the Journal of E-Commerce Research, Journal of Electronic Markets, and the Journal of Enterprise Information Systems, to name a few. He recently published a peer-reviewed scholarly book entitled “Information Systems for Global Financial Markets”. He has also published in prestigious Information Systems conferences, which include the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), Institute for Operational Research and Information Science (INFORMS), and Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
