Barry Beedle

Biography

I have been at Elon University since 1978. I have served on many committees over the years including 4 terms on Academic Council. Other committees that I've served on include Faculty R & D, P & T, and Academic Standing. However, I haven't been on a standing committee in several years and would like to be on one. I teach Physiology of Exercise with two labs and Research Methods. I have taught Senior Seminar and supervised practica and internships.

Research Interest

My research interests are mainly in physical fitness testing and training. Over the years I have published and presented many times. I have four mentees, two are doing research on predictors of anaerobic power and the other two are getting ready to start a study on metabolic syndrome in college football linemen.
