Biography
I am an alumni of Howard University and graduated with a Ph.D. from Duke University in 2002. My interests and work focus on modern United States Century Social History, United States Gender and Politics; African American History; United States Foreign Affairs; and the intersection of Canadian and U.S. History. The latest project I finished analyzed the opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in late 2016 and its inclusion of material from the Black Lives Matter movement. My newest class offereing is a unique one, entitled 'The Millennial Generation in the U.S.'
