Biography
Mr. Steven J. Pelch, also known as Steve, has been an Executive Vice President of Organization Planning and Development at Emerson Electric Co. since November 2016. Mr. Pelch served as Senior Vice President of Organization Planning and Development at Emerson Electric Co. from November 2015 to November 2016. Mr. Pelch served as Vice President of Organization Planning and Development at Emerson Electric Co. He oversees Emerson’s human resources function and manages the company’s senior executive recruitment, leadership development and succession planning programs, as well as MBA graduate recruitment. He served as the Head of organization planning and development function at Emerson Electric Co since 2012 and was named to Emerson’s Office of the Chief Executive in 2014. Oversight of the company’s human resources function was assigned to his portfolio in 2015. He began his Emerson career at its Fisher Controls business in 1987 where he held various management positions within its service organization, including supervision of the U.S. Southeast region and later for the larger U.S. Midwest region. In 1997, he led an Emerson acquisition based in New Hampshire.He Promoted o vice president and general manager for Emerson’s Fisher Controls business in Asia, based in Singapore, with manufacturing facilities in China, Japan, India, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. In 2004, he was appointed vice president of planning for Emerson Process Management, the company’s largest business segment. In this role, he coordinated strategies for its business units and successfully completed several acquisitions. He served as vice president of corporate planning for Emerson since 2005 until 2012, where he analyzed business plans, strategy and portfolio management investments to drive continued growth and profitability in collaboration with the company’s corporate and business-level leadership teams around the world. He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina.
