Biography
Corrine Abraham earned a BSN from the University of Iowa in 1978 and a MN from Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University in 1985 with a dual focus: Adult Health Acute Care and Nursing Education. Corrine practiced clinically for 7 years in a variety of cardiac step-down and coronary care units before joining the faculty of Emory University. Corrine has taught undergraduate nursing at Emory since 1996 with extensive experience teaching in varied acute care and community clinical settings as well as a simulation lab. Along with clinical teaching Corrine has served in numerous leadership roles within the NHWSN including participation as: Faculty Convener; DNP Faculty Collaborative; Interim Undergraduate Program Director, Course Coordinator (clinical and professional development courses), Problem-based Learning Core Team, Educational Technology Task Force, ABSN Task Force, QSEN Integration Task Force, committee member (Admissions, Awards, Student Success Monitoring, Curriculum, FULD Scholarship Selection, & Clinical Partnership Committees) faculty advisor (Honor Council and IHI Open School), and faculty mentor for the SAGE Mentor Program.
