Robert Bazemore

Biography

Robert Bazemore has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer since September 2015. Prior to joining Epizyme, Mr. Bazemore served as Chief Operating Officer of Synageva through its acquisition in July 2015. Prior to that, he was President of Janssen Biotech, part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Bazemore began his career at Johnson & Johnson in 2002, and held numerous senior commercial positions, including leading the worldwide immunology portfolio strategy and the launches of multiple new products and indications. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, he worked at Merck & Co., Inc. for eleven years in roles of increasing responsibility. Mr. Bazemore received a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Georgia. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Ardelyx, Inc.
