Sangam Pant

Biography

Mr. Sangam Pant served as a Senior Managing Director of Evercore Capital Partners. Mr. Pant also served as a Senior Managing Director at Evercore Ventures and at Evercore Partners’s Investment Management Business. Mr. Pant runs the venture capital business, and additionally focuses on technology plus growth private equity. Prior to joining the firm, he held various senior management positions at companies such as AT&T, DEC, Lycos, and Ziff-Davis. Previously, Mr. Pant was a General Manager and Executive Vice President at eCompanies Incubator where he was responsible for product, technology, and business development functions. Prior to joining eCompanies, Mr. Pant was a Vice President of Integration and Operations at Lycos. During his tenure at Lycos as the Vice President of Engineering, Mr. Pant led the research, product development, quality assurance, and operations groups for Lycos.com. His other investments include Jamdat Mobile, StorePerform Technologies, ThinkIndia, Atheros, Aarohi, Balkrishna Industries, and LowerMyBills. Previously, Mr. Pant was a Director of Software Development at AT&T's New Media Services and prior to that he directed software development efforts for Ziff-Davis and Digital Equipment Corporation. Mr. Pant is a Member of the Board of Directors of Sierra Design Automation, StrongMail Systems, Inc. and Alliant Group. He has also served as a Member of the Board of Directors of StorePerform Technologies, Jamdat Mobile, Sierra Design, Business.com, ThinkIndia, Atheros, Aarohi, Balkrishna Industries, and LowerMyBills. Mr. Pant holds four patents and has published numerous research papers and articles and authored numerous publications. He received an M.S. degree from the University of Florida, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda.
